Meet Ann With over 20 years of professional business experience in a variety of roles from business consultant, coach, and technical recruiter, to human resources advisor, sales and marketing representative, and entrepreneur, I've come to know and appreciate PEOPLE -- people of all ages, passions, cultures, experiences, and career histories. In my personal dealings with thousands of people over the years, I've consistently observed three universal human characteristics. First, people want to feel that they matter - that they can somehow make a positive contribution. Second, they want to be connected to someone or something beyond themselves, whether it is a team, a special project, or a grand Cause. And finally, everyone wants to believe they have some unique quality, talent or ability to offer. A few people are fortunate enough to know what that uniqueness is, but the majority has yet to discover it. Most people, it seems, have not awakened to their Purpose in Being. I was one of those people asleep at the controls of my life, busy running, doing, acquiring. Then, a few years ago, when the loss of a dear loved one caused my whole perspective to shift dramatically, I began my own journey. In my quest to understand the meaning of it all, I realized with great clarity that there truly is so much more to life. I am thankful to have awakened from my slumber as a "human doing" by examining my life's purpose from a deeper perspective, not waiting until I'm at the end of my years. Along this incredible journey, I discovered my Purpose in Being: to help others experience the joy and fulfillment that comes from taking control of their lives, discovering their Purpose in Being, and contributing their unique gifts and talents in a meaningful way. I established Purpose in Being™ as a vehicle to share my experience and insight with others, to provide some useful, fun, and inspiring approaches to assist others in realizing A Life They Love. Prior to establishing Purpose in Being™, I worked for several information technology consulting services companies from small privately held businesses to national and global organizations. I am a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, the National Association of Female Executives, and am a Certified Associate of The Secretan Center, a worldwide network of consultants who work to inspire people, teams and communities by awakening workplace values.
